Climbing the Great Wall
Well the last couple of China Toursdays have been very interesting since we arrived Beijing by China Eastern. After 10 days without a break, we all traveled to the Great Wall of China. We all decided on going to a place where not a lot of tourists typically travel. The WHOLE time on the wall we may have seen a total of 10 other tourists. Our wholechina travel trip was very interesting, however. First, we woke up at the crack of 7:30 (on our day off) and we all hoped in a bus. This, apparently, according to ourchina Vacationsguide, was a house that someone opened up to the public. The cool, or very odd thing, about this place was the way they served their food to me. We also ordered Chicken, and they just happened to have a Chicken coop. From there we took a ride to as far as we could go up. I was really out of breath after about 100 meters! Finally, after we made it to the top, we had the most amazing view I have ever witnessed. Words really can't describe the absolute beauty, and majestic feeling you feel standing on top of something that you have only seen on television. So from there, we walked to the highest part of the wall that we could, and then walked down b/c we had to make sure we got to the zip line before it closed. So we walked along, and stopped periodically to take pictures and just suck in the experience. This was an incredible experience. I really don't think that it could be any better. I almost think i might go back to the Great Wall the next time when we travel to Beijingagain, this time to the very Tourist area. There are a couple places that I will Make sure i go back to, either alone, or with people, and the Great Wall is most definitely one of those places.
