they put glyocic acid on my face, and had me hold a metal rod and used some sort of electrical equipment to "remove the acid" I think she said. Then they put placenta on my face - placenta from what/who? and why? My face was covered for 15 minutes while I continued to hold this metal rod. So strange. I didn't ask questions since they spoke only Japanese (I'm in Japan) and my Japanese isn't good enough for me to understand. Any know what this was all about?

Also, my face really doesn't look much different. I know a chemical peel should exfolilate...will the exfoilating happen over the next couple days - does it take a day or so for all the effects to occur? Because minutes/hours later - although my face looks a little brighter - it doesn't look like I had anything done.

Yes, I've had something like this done to me as well, only not in Japan. It takes a few days or maybe even a week to make a real change that you can see. Probably by the end of the week your face will start to clear up from any acne or blemishes and it definitely won't be as dry(even if you can't tell). Trust me, it works.
