Default I want to get rhinoplasty (nose job)..., but....?

I'm afraid my boyfriend or family/friends/cowoerks might judge me for it. I mean I don't want people to critisize me for changing my appearance. It would partially be because of my breathing problems (I have asthma and allergies /w deviated septum) and partially because the size of my nose has always bothered me (It's not awfully large, it just causes me a lot of loss of self-esteem). I wouldn't want to change the way I look entirely. But I'm also afvraid something would go wrong and I wouldn't look good, or my boyfriend would hate it. I don't want to look like a different person, I just want to feel better about myself and breathe better too. Any suggesstions?

Go for it. I had an older cousin get a nose job once opon a time. No one cared.

The only people that I think would care would be other girls. But girls are just drama-whores and hate-mongerers and get jealous about everything.

No one is going to think differently of you. Especially if it is for medical reasons. Make sure its the one you like though and have others give their opionon but you have the final say so

if it truly causes you breathing problems, and you feel that it would help you feel better about yourself, then you should go for it. talk to your family and your boyfriend about it, and tell them what you've said here...they'll want you to be happy with yourself, and if that'll help I'm sure they'll support you. and do some research on some plastic surgeons who have done the procedure, and make sure they don't have any malpractice suits against them. also, if you know any one that has had the procedure and are happy with it....ask them who done theirs.

The fact that you have medical issues leads me to the opinion that you should not care what anyone thinks! I had a breast reduction done in 2006 for breathing and back issues, and it was medically necessary and although I was large and lovely, I'm happy with my more petite chest. A nose job in itself is an esteem booster as long as it is done right, so I'd say go for it, and be happy with your choice, and make sure you check your doctor's background, to make sure that he or she is well trained in the field and well respected.

PS: I just looked at your picture, and I think you have a pretty nose, but as I said, if it's in your best interest, go for it.

Most plastic surgeons use photoshop to show you what you will look like after surgery.Just go for the one that has the least change that will make you happy.Ask your boyfriend to come with to help you choose your new nose.I almost said "pick" there. The two of you can choose something that will make both of you happy.I'm sure he already knows about the allergies and deviated septum,so he should be glad to give you a hand. Also trust the doctor he has been doing this for a few years.

You have to decide if you want a life like those girls or superstars had nose jobs or whatever jobs or a life with low esteem but your family, bf, etc still is ok with your look.

your breathing problems make it a lot easier to tell people!
I kinda want to get a nose job but I dont have a good excuse like breathing problems.. but you do!
when you get it done.. be very open about it.. so that people will know that you did it for breathing problems.. and decided to get you nose a little fixed in the process

I just looked at your picture ITS NOT BAD AT ALL

forget what I said you dont need to do it... this is obviously a case of plain old low self esteem. your nose isnt bad at all you have a very nice nose.. damn i wish i had yours.. but im learning to love mine.. please dont think that this will fix your self esteem.. it wont.. your nose is nice.. since the problem is your self esteem not your nose, when you get the nose jon you will find something else you want to change about your self.. you will never be happy with your self because you are not fixing the problem.. the problem is loving your self for who you are and what you were born with.. your nose is not the problem
